Kadugli - The delegation of the UK House of Lords, currently visiting South Kordofan State, has decided to assist in stopping the war in the state and ending the suffering of the citizens after it had listened to demands by the citizens of the state in churches and among leaders of the native administration in Kadugli town.
Head of the delegation of the House of Lords pledged to assist the Sudanese for stopping the war.
He said during their visits to the Secretariat of the Government of the State and the premises of the Catholic Church and the Native Administration in Kadugli that he and his colleagues and the friends of Sudan would spare no efforts in assisting the Sudanese in ending the war, which affected education, health and infrastructure in South Kordofan.
He added that he would work for supporting the relations between Britain and Sudan in the fields of trade and investment.
Governor of South Kordofan State Dr. Eisa Adam Abakar had explained to the visiting delegation the social peace prevailing in the state.
The delegation noted that before their visit to Sudan they heard alarming stories about oppression of Christians in the country but when they come to Sudan they found these stories were not correct and the situation is different.
