Half Billion Dollars towards Medical and Perfume Plants Funding

Khartoum - The representative of the Technical Committee for Medical and Perfume Plants Dr. Asia Mohamed Al-Hassan has demanded halting the import of Chinese fenugreek and garlic plants and boycotting them, noting that Sudanese garlic contains good nutrients with good taste and smell, raising questions about the causes of, and disappearance of Sudanese garlic at the workshop of ascertaining the good quality of plants at the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) on Monday.
She affirmed starting the use of medical herbs because they are less costly in use especially in the field of concentrating treatment by herbs.
She outlined the importance of laying down the guide of extinction endangers species and their specialty among crops, stressing the use of medical herbs in the field of cosmetics.
For his part the manager of SSMO Mohamed Ahmed has acknowledged the existence of difficulties facing the products represented in instability, and continuation affirming SSMO support and its stand behind developing the medical and perfume herbs. He noted that the guide made by the committee is very important work in economic and scientific terms for tackling important issues in the field of medical herbs.
