Khartoum - (Zuleikha- Najat) The government has described the visit paid by the American companies and businessmen as outstanding.
The official spokesperson of the Presidential Palace, Atta Al-Mannan Bakheit said the delegation is the biggest American investment delegation ever to visit the country since the American blockade which was imposed on Sudan
He affirmed that the visit took place following the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sudan’s Embassy to Washington and with a brilliant sponsorship of Sudatel communications group.
He said that the visit represent an extension to the ongoing dialogue between Sudan and the US Administration which has achieved considerable progress in its political and security aspects and now is heading towards the economical aspect which will push forward the relations between the two countries in all aspects.
For her part Ms. Florizelle Lisser, the Chief Executive Officer of the American Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) has affirmed, during a meeting with the First Vice President of the Republic and National Prime Minister, 1st Lt. General Bakri Hassan Saleh, the readiness of the American companies to invest in Sudan
She said: "We as investors and American businesspersons are desirous in operating in Sudan due to its existing potential energies.”
She said Sudan is going the right direction towards lifting it from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism asserting that Sudan has lost a lot because of the imposed economic sanctions.
She pointed out that they will continue their move with the US Administration and the Sudanese government to lift Sudan from the list of sponsoring terrorism states in order to boost the natural relations for the benefit of the two countries.
Sudatel CEO, Eng. Tariq Hamza said that the delegation is the first commercial mission to Sudan after lifting of sanctions, pointing out that the dialogue in this regard started on April 2016 through Sudatel Group and when the embargo was lifted we were ready.
He praised the great efforts exerted by Sudan Foreign Ministry along with the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.
