Sudan Reiterates Support to Kuwaiti Initiative for Resolving Gulf Crisis

Khartoum-Presidential Assistant Ibrahim Mahmoud has reiterated Sudan’s support to the Kuwaiti initiative for resolving the Gulf crisis

Mahmoud said when he received at his office at the Presidential Palace in Khartoum Thursday the Qatari Ambassador, Rashid bin Abdel-Rahman Al Neaimi, that the outstanding issues can be solved through dialogue.
He expressed hope that the Gulf Cooperation Council would return to its first course as a model for cooperation.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of Parliament, Ibrahim Ahmed Omer, affirmed the neutral stance of Sudan towards the crisis among the Gulf countries and its support for the efforts for settlement of the crisis within the Arab context.
Receiving the Qatari Ambassador, the Speaker expressed keenness of Sudan on restoration of the Arab-Arab relations to their previous course, especially among the Gulf countries.
