Saudi Ambassador Praises His Country’s Relations with Sudan

Khartoum - Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Emad Eddin Mustafa Adawi met with the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Khartoum, Ali Hassan Jaafar, who praised the relations between the two countries and the achievements made in various fields of cooperation.
The meeting was held in honor of the receipt of the fifth batch of Daawa assistances provided by Saudi Arabia to the Sudanese armed forces, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides earlier.
The Saudi diplomat conveyed the congratulations of the Saudi leadership on the occasion of the holy month to the President Omer Al-Bashir, Minister of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The Joint Chief of Staff expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Saudi leadership and its armed forces, describing the relations of Khartoum and Riyadh as distinct, saying that the cooperation between the two countries has taken a strategic approach that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese and Saudi peoples, pointing out the development witnessed by the military cooperation relations, pointing to the participation of Sudan in the Islamic Coalition against terrorism and the Arab alliance for the restoration of legitimacy in Yemen and the Saudi Sudanese mutual exchanges in the exercises in the previous period, expressing readiness to participate in the executive mechanisms of the American Islamic Summit in the field of combating terrorism, praising the Saudi support, directing the competent authorities to renew the memorandum of understanding and expand areas of cooperation and joint action.
Director of the General Directorate for Guidance and Services, Major General Osman Mohamed Al-Aghbash expressed their happiness in receiving the fifth batch of aids, which is furnishing of mosques and provision of the Koran and other aids, adding, "We feel the interest of the leadership of the two countries in these relations and we are proud to be the gate of cooperation between the Kingdom and Sudan".
