Government to Press Ahead with Implementation of Economic Measures

Khartoum-Prime Minister Mutaz Musa has affirmed that the government would press ahead with implementation of the new economic measures, stressing the importance of working to make them a success, describing them as just.
The Prime Minister, speaking at a deliberation meeting with businessmen at the premises of the Sudanese Businessmen Union Monday, pointed out that commitment by the private sector to the economic measures would enable entry of the revenues of exports into the banking system and boosting the national economy.
He affirmed that the private sector constitutes the real partner for the government in realizing economic stability.
Chairman of the Sudanese Businessmen Union Saud Al-Birair, on his part, expected that the liquidity problem would soon end, indicating that the visit by the Prime Minister and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan to Gedarif State would end the shortage in liquidity there.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Mohamed Khair Al-Zubair, meanwhile, affirmed that the government has introduced a total reform represented in the market makers mechanism of setting the exchange rate of the national currency as well as provision of funding for the exporters.
