South Sudan Peace Signing Ceremony in Addis Ababa Today

Addis Ababa – (Agencies) South Sudan’s peace deal signing ceremony has been adjourned to Thursday after IGAD leaders failed to present their deliberation on four opposition groups as of 6:00PM Addis Ababa local time, officials said.
One official of the South Sudan Opposition Allaince (SSOA) said that the IGAD mediation has informed them that the agreement will not be signed today as the IGAD summit is ongoing.
“We have been informed by the mediation that the signing ceremony of the agreement will not be today because the IGAD heads of states are still meeting,  so they said that the  signing of the agreement might be today, Thursday” opposition official said
Another official confirmed that the signing ceremony has in fact been adjourned to Thursday given the continuation of the IGAD summit of the heads of states and government which is yet to decide on the four concerns of the opposition.
