Comprehensive Survey on Voluntary Return at Darfur Camps

Nyala- (SMC) The Commission of Voluntary Return in Darfur States has disclosed arrangements for conducting comprehensive survey at the IDPs camps in next November to

come out with accurate statistics on the volume of the return process as it affirmed that the success of arms collection operations have led to increase of the rates of voluntary return in the five states of Darfur.
Chairman of the commission Taj-Eddin Ibrahim said in a statement to SMC that they are focusing now on making the agricultural season a success to encourage the returnees for settlement as agriculture is the biggest incentive for stability, indicating that the commission would work in collaboration with the international partners for conducting the survey at the camps to come out with final statistics on the situation of the return process.
He affirmed stability of the security situations at all voluntary return villages, indicating that the governments of Darfur states have provided all requirements of stability in them.
