Khartoum – Presidential envoy and Foreign Minister, Dr. Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed handed South Sudan President
, Salva Kiir Mayardit a message from President Al Bashir.
The message deals with the arrangements for signing the peace agreement by the South Sudanese rivals, set for August the 5th 2018, in Khartoum.
Al-Dirdiri was received in Juba airport by South Sudan Foreign Minister Nhial Deng.
Al-Dirdiri said in press statements that he briefed President Kiir on his African tour and the issues discussed with the African leaders who are expected to attend the signature of the peace agreement, especially the Rwandan and Kenyan presidents. He added that he conveyed to President Kiir what was expected in terms of procedures and special arrangements and how to accomplish the outstanding issues of the comprehensive peace agreement.
