World Bank Presents $2 Million for Development in River Nile

Khartoum - (KEM) Governor of the River Nile State, Hatim Al-Wasila revealed that the World Bank presented $ 2 million to support development projects in the River Nile State, while the Sudan Savings and Social Development Bank was awarded the Excellence Award in the development of the social economy by the International Federation of Arab Bankers for the fourth time in its history.
Addressing the signing ceremony for the implementation of development projects between the state and the Savings and Social Development Bank of SDG 400 million, the governor said that the support of the World Bank came against the backdrop of advertisement published  in the newspapers by the State Development Fund in the state on building a fence for a school, where the World Bank considered this a demonstration of transparency in the state, stressing the continuity of the state government in the extension and delivery of services to citizens, pointing out that the state government paid SDG 400 million to Abu Hamad electricity and 300 million for Al-Buhaira Locality electricity, revealing that the state's production of gold during the past six months amounted to 14 tons, and cement production by 98% of Sudan's total production.
For his part, Director General of the Bank of Savings and Social Development confirmed the continuation of the bank in support of development projects in all the states of Sudan, revealing that the bank received the award of excellence in the development of the social economy.
