German Volkswagen Company Expresses Desire to Invest in Sudan

Khartoum - State Minister at the Ministry of Investment Osama Mukhtar has affirmed that the investment climate in Sudan has become conducive for attracting European investors after the lifting of the US economic sanctions that had been imposed on the country.
This came when the State Minister at the Ministry of Investment received at his office yesterday the Director General of the German Volkswagen Company in Sudan, Al Wasighbeallah Ali, and the accompanying delegation, who expressed desire of the German company to install lines of production in Sudan.
He affirmed keenness of the ministry to extend all facilities and support for establishment of the project, whose production is expected to start in early 2019, indicating that establishment of the project would open the way for many companies for investments in Sudan.
The head of the delegation, on his part, expressed appreciation for the concern accorded to the desire of the company, expressing congratulations for the State Minister at the Ministry of Investment for assuming the post.
