Government Pledges to Deliver Humanitarian Aid and Vaccinate Children in Rebel Controlled Areas

Khartoum – (SUNA) Presidential Assistant, Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim pledged to start work on humanitarian aid, vaccination of children and promote education by training

teachers and providing national curriculum in the SPLM areas.
He called for changing the language of the media and political discourse to be in line with national dialogue and strengthening the spirit of national reconciliation and building a culture of peace, revealing the seriousness of the state in conducting a real dialogue with the SPLM-N.
Addressing the conclusion of the first youth conference on peace and development issues in Kadugli, Ibrahim said that peace is a strategic goal of the state, calling on SPLM youth participating in the conference to convey the message of the government and its readiness for peace.
He announced the appointment of director of the Nuba Mountains Foundation and the executive and supervisory administration within the next few days and to conduct a dialogue with all youth and political components to build confidence and contribute to the peace process and to represent the participation of young people in all stages of peace negotiations in order to reach a permanent peace agreement with arms carriers and encourage voluntary return, besides allocation  of a rate of the production of mining companies in the framework of social responsibility to support the youth projects in the state.
For his part, the Governor of South Kordofan, Dr. Issa Adam Abakar, said that sustainable peace requires continuous efforts and well thought out plans, pointing out that the conference has set practical steps for the youth of the peace and development process in the coming period, stressing his government's commitment to implement the outcomes and recommendations of the conference for peace and development.
For her part, Minister of Welfare and Social Security, Mashair Al-Dawalab expressed her appreciation for the participation of SPLM youth in the conference, considering it a good sign out of the cycle of war and transition to dialogue, solution, peace and renaissance, renewing the interest of her ministry to IDPs and returnees by provision of support and help them to settle, calling on youth to contribute in production and reconstruction
Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdul Karim Musa referred to the directives of the Presidency that calling for the attention of youth in conflict areas.
President of the National Union of Sudanese Youth, Mahmoud Wed Ahmed pointed out to support of young people to nominate Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir to the presidency for the 2020 elections as appropriate to lead the stage, praising the active participation of youth of the SPLM in the debate and calling on youth to play a greater role in the peace process, stability, reconstruction and renaissance.
