Economic Expert: Sudan's Accession to the Economic Blocs to Prepare for Accession to WTO

Khartoum - (Khalda Elyas) Economic expert Dr. Mohamed Al-Nayer stressed that Sudan's accession to the economic blocs is important and an exercise for Sudan to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) and engage in the world markets.
Al-Nayer told Sudan Vision that Sudan has been late in preparing in terms of agricultural and industrial production in larger quantities and high quality, pointing out that the next stage is for those who produce high quality and lower prices so that they can compete, stressing the need to improve Sudan's trade balance with the Free Zone And the COMESA by working to increase the volume of exports to this region and to benefit from the preferential advantages granted by these blocs, in order to prepare well to join the WTO, stressing that Sudan has a great opportunity, but the issue of protection of national industries, Keep, by imposing fees for products coming from abroad, will not be a solution.
