Sudan Organizes Workshop to Review its Sustainable Development Priorities

Khartoum - The Ministry of International Cooperation organized in collaboration with the National Population Council yesterday a workshop on revision of the document on

Sudan’s priorities for the sustainable development agenda, with the participation of concerned government departments and experts.
State Minister at the Ministry of International Cooperation Dr. Somaya Akad has said that the concerned ministries have made some remarks on the report, which was prepared by experts, adding that a technical committee would introduce these remarks in the report prior to its publication.
State Minister at the Ministry of Social Security and Development Ibrahim Adam Ibrahim, on his part, affirmed the state’s concern with the issues of sustainable development, stressing the importance of determining the country’s priorities in this connection.
UNDP Resident Representative for Sudan Marta Ruedas, on her part, referred to importance that the deliberations of the workshop would reflect the requirements of Sudan according to its priorities for realizing the goals of sustainable development in all fields.
