Aror: Livestock Can Lead the Sudanese Economy

Khartoum - The Minister of Animal Resources, Bushara Juma Aror, affirmed that the livestock sector is capable of leading the Sudanese economy, and pointed in his address in

the National Livestock Conference that livestock is a promising sector and witnessed a lot of interest from partners which was demonstrated in the number of agreements signed during the conference which will be implemented on the ground to respond to the country economic development aspirations.
The National Livestock Conference which ended has come out with a number of recommendations including the importance of a national livestock census, focus feeding grounds promotion, securing strategic stocks of animal feed, in addition to the implementation of a comprehensive quality control on all imports and exports of livestock products.
In addition the recommendation, called for the introduction of modern technologies and increase of investments in this vital sector, as well as the provision of free immunization and livestock health services.
Also, during the conference the Animal Resource minister meet the South Sudan delegation and affirmed the ministry is very keen to corporate with the South in all joint areas concerning the livestock sector.
