Calls to Provide Basic Services to Refugees and Host Communities

Khartoum - The government of South Darfur has called on Refugees Commission and related authorities to provide basic services to refugees and host communities.
In a workshop on refugee issues organized by the High Commissioner for Refugees in Nyala, the representative of the governor, Issa Mohamed said that the presence of refugees puts pressure on the basic services of citizens, noting that South Darfur witnessed a great return of Sudanese refugees from neighboring countries, where their number reached more than 1,600 ones, attributing it to the security situation and the collection of weapons.
