Sudan and Ethiopia to Sign Memorandums of Understanding on Extradition of Criminals

Khartoum - Blue Nile State Police and its counterpart in the Ethiopian Benishangul-Gumuz Region intend to sign memorandums of understanding on issues of concern to the two sides, including exchange of information, extradition of accused persons and combating of drugs and weapons trade and human trafficking.
This is besides boosting border relations.
Blue Nile State's Police received Sunday a delegation of the Police of the Ethiopian Benishangul-Gumuz Region. The visit aims at activation of joint consultative meetings between the two sides and developing the border relations in the field of security cooperation in all fields.
Director of Blue Nile State Police Maj. Gen. Mohamed Al Nazir Abdallah, addressing a joint meeting between the two sides, affirmed the importance of boosting the relations with police of the Ethiopian region through continued contacts between the two sides and creating of joint coordination mechanism.
Head of the delegation of Benishangul-Gumuz Region's Police, on his part, affirmed keenness of the Ethiopian side on boosting cooperation between the two sides in the field of security.
