Russia Expresses Readiness to Increase Wheat Export to Sudan Two Million Tons

Khartoum – Russia has expressed readiness to increase the wheat exports to Sudan to 2 million tons according to a statement issued by the Sudanese embassy in Moscow to the foreign ministry, which in turn conveyed it to the Ministry of Minerals as the head of the Joint Ministerial Committee between Sudan and Russia.
According to Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, Sudan is ranked second importer of wheat after Egypt by 1 million tons.
The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources affirmed that the trade exchange between Sudan and Russia is doubled to reach US$325 million compared to US$152 in 2016.
