Khartoum (SUNA) - The Minister of Industry Dr. Musa Mohamed Karama stressed his ministry’s keenness
to remove all obstacles facing the cement industry in the country, which prevent the export of this commodity and other industrial goods to neighboring countries of Africa.
This came when he briefed, at his office in the ministry on Sunday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Barber Cement Factory UAE investor Sheikh Mohamed Abdullah on the plans of the ministry and its efforts to open new markets for the export of the cement commodity in which Sudan has a high production capacity that exceeds the need for domestic consumption.
The minister stressed that Sudan enjoyed high productive capacities and competitive advantages in the cement industry, pointing to the need of the markets of neighboring African countries to this commodity, pointing out that the cement factories in the country are working with high technology.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Barber Cement Factory praised the great response found by the cement industry from the Ministry of Industry and the measures it carried out towards the cement industry.
