Indonesian Embassy Celebrates 72nd National Day

Khartoum-The Indonesian Ambassador to Sudan, H.E. Burhanuddin Badaruzzaman, has recently hosted at his residence in Khartoum

a celebration marking the 72nd anniversary of the National Day of Indonesia.
The occasion was attended by members of the staff of the Indonesian Embassy, members of the Indonesian Community in Sudan, a number of Indonesian personnel serving in UNAMID and Sudanese personalities and media persons.
Addressing the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Badaruzzaman expressed appreciation for the big participation in the celebrations marking the National Day of his country.
He said Indonesia has witnessed big economic development a matter that has qualified it to assume leading position among the developed countries, referring to the big progress his country has realized in the economic, political, cultural and social fields.
The Ambassador pointed out that Indonesia has achieved this progress thanks to the unity of its national ranks that has been characterizing the country since its independence.
The Ambassador described the Indonesian-Sudanese relations as strong throughout the past decades, saying that Indonesia was the first country to recognize the Independence of Sudan.
The celebration included various social and recreation programs for the participants, which were prepared by the Cultural Office of the Embassy.
 Indonesia is considered as the largest economy in Southeast Asia and is one of the emerging market economies of the world.
