National Dialogue Governance Committee Agrees on Constitution-Making Process

Khartoum – Chairman of the National Dialogue Governance and Implementation of Outcomes Committee, Prof. Barakat Musa Al-Hawati affirmed that the committee unanimously agreed on the necessity of drafting an inclusive permanent constitution that affirms the sovereignty of the country and the rule of law besides separation of the powers and good governance.
He said to Omdurman Radio that Sudan is heading towards a new historical stage, describing the 107 recommendations of the national dialogue committees represent a new reading to the political and social reality.
For his part, Deputy Peace and Unity Committee of the National Dialogue said that the committee has determined 104 recommendations to achieve the aspired reconciliation.
Liberation and Justice Party leader, Taj Aldin Nyam said that the commitment of the President to implement the recommendations of the national dialogue represents a new leap and affirms the keenness of the Presidency to resolve all the outstanding issues.
